Story: “Yesterday’s Lead King Loop 25k race in Marble, CO with fly rod in tow. Made it up & over the mountain & through Lead King Basin in time to throw a few flies in the upper Crystal River along the course. Got 6 or 7 bites before finally connecting. Jumped back on the trail for the last few miles. Made it to the finish in time for the awesome BBQ and Beers from Roaring Fork Brewery. Didn’t finish last either. It’s a tough steep course, but the scenery is tops & there are plenty of fishy holes along the way. Got plenty of laughs from the other competitors as well. Good times.”
