**- The rules have been updated to reinforce that in the event that a 12%+ABV beer is not desired, an equally challenging race finisher must be approved by the Troutman committee prior to the attempt. In this particular case, because a Dr. Pepper is arguably grosser and harder to consume than a 12% beer, and because Jason ran 5 miles farther than required, the committee verified this successful attempt!
