Course Name: Walker Loop (Counter Clockwise) (multiple fish)
Distance: 8.4 miles
Vertical Gain: ~1800 feet
Fishable Waterbody: Boulder Creek
Course Description: Walker Ranch is part of Boulder County Open Space Parks. South Boulder Creek, which is controlled by Denver Water at Gross Dam, bisects the loop trail and flows on through Eldorado Canyon. The dam is under construction as of 2022, expanding the capacity of the reservoir. *It is very important to check the flows before you go!* The loop has many trailheads, as well as a fisherman's access TH, AKA South Boulder Creek Kayak Run. This is where you find most of the fisherpeople parking due to the immediate river access. This FKF enters the trail system here, but starts tracking once on the loop, at the bench pictured. This leaves the FKF open to attempts from any TH. It's great fishing for browns and rainbows--this is a multiple species FKF.
