Unquestionably, the worst fisherperson on the Running Rivers board, Bryon brings the experience of two careers to the organization. In a past life, he was a big city regulatory attorney. He remains a recovering attorney. For more than a decade since then, he's been the full-time editor-in-chief of iRunFar.com, the trail running and ultrarunning website he founded, and at which he supposedly learned communications and fundraising skills. As his website's name suggests, he likes to run stupidly long distances. When he's not working or running, you'll find Bryon flinging dry flies tenkara style at tiny trout above his home in Silverton, Colorado.
Bryon is a twenty-four-time Troutman, two-time Ültroüt finisher and the inaugural Lucifish finisher. Bryon also Fishslapped the Hardrock 100! Oh, and in 2024, to train for the 400k ULTRA GOBI (which he won), Bryon completed a running / fishing design of his own creation, the San Juan InFINity Loop (7 Troutman finishes in 7 days).
