John Blaschke
Responsibilities: General oversight of business and affairs of Running Rivers.
Qualifications: John is a non-native species to Colorado, but his introduction to the state was by way of attending school here as an undergraduate. While in Colorado, he met his wife, and they chose to stay and raise a family here. They have two beautiful adult daughters. With over 20 years of experience in information systems management, process improvement, customer service, managed care organizations and provider markets, John has extensive knowledge of healthcare information technology. Over the past 10 years, John has worked exclusively in the non-profit sector, and has leadership experience for multiple different organizations in Colorado. John started fly fishing more years ago than he cares to remember. He attended his first Flyathlon 10 years ago, and has been a dedicated annual attendee at multiple events ever since then. John is decidedly average at all of the events in the Flyathlon (with the possible exception of beer), but has been an enthusiastic fundraiser. He has been Top Fundraiser, Almost Top Fundraiser, and Nearly Almost Top Fundraiser multiple times. John is thrilled to be serving his first year on the Running Rivers Board, where he can combine his love all thing Flyathlon with making a positive impact on the organization.
